Tugu Muda and Lawang Sewu

Located in central of Semarang city. Tugu muda is a symbolic monument of Semarang to reminds all people especially at central java about "Pertempuran 5 hari di Semarang"(5 days war on Semarang). This war begin when an Indonesian doctor called Kariyadi indicated some Japan people plotting to poisoned water supply in Semarang. Known this scenario many people on Semarang become angry and this war occurs. Despite of Tugu Muda role as symbolic monument, it's also has another more important role on Semarang city. This important role is connecting 5 road on central of Semarang, which two of those road are Pemuda street (Place where administration building on semarang stands) and Pandanaran street (Place where many visitor from outer region buying some local food product).

But not only that, in Tugu Muda area also place where Lawang Sewu, Wisma Perdamain (Central Java Governor's building) and also Bulu traditional marketplace stands. Personally said, I guess it's a really strategic and more than just a symbolic monument.
